Top-10 Market Cap Surge Led by Reliance and Airtel Amid Bullish Equity Trends
Seven of India's top-10 most valued firms added a staggering ₹2.16 lakh crore in market capitalization last week, fueled by a 1.75% rally in the BSE benchmark. Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel emerged as the standout performers, with their valuations climbing ₹47,364 crore and ₹41,255 crore respectively.
Banking heavyweights ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank contributed significantly to the gains, surging ₹40,124 crore and ₹33,186 crore. The bullish sentiment extended to consumer goods (Hindustan Unilever) and NBFCs (Bajaj Finance), while IT majors Infosys and TCS bucked the trend with valuation declines.
